Any recs on where to pic these up? Fb classifieds has gone to crap with scammers and flippers. Nextdoor died. Craigslist is a ghost town. Surely there's a classifieds site for this stuff?

I've got a woodworking project I'm trying to do on a budget and can't / don't want to justify spending a bunch on shiny new tools that I'll only use once. Looked at harbor freight too but prefer other stuff

You're not doing it right

Personally, I've collected hand tools for years at garage sales and have amassed a nice collection. As for used woodworking power tools, I've had better luck with auctions and estate sales. And almost all of them were one-offs or opportunities that came along randomly. I think it'd be hard to find a good jointer on facebook unless you got lucky.

Some of this depends on what you're looking for, too.

What type of woodworking project and what type of budget?

Around Utah the KSL newspaper has a classifieds that is massive, even have its own app. So there could be local options to explore instead of the big classified software.

What is your project, and what tool do you need? Also, where are you? There are quite a few woodworkers on here; you may be able to borrow some shop time from someone. I have a few tools, and I am happy to help if you are near N. Grimes County.

Yeah, I'd even pitch in to some sort of community coop. I have a bunch of automotive tools, pressure washer, electric tiller I'd swap for some woodworking stuff
