Walk in Freezer Opinions

We currently have four, that's right, four, freezers on our house. We raise all our protein and it tends to take up space. I've toyed with the idea of installing a walk-in freezer that by my calculation would take up less square footage. We have a storage room that I think I could take some of the space for a walk-in. Has anybody done this and be willing to share your experience? What you would have done differently?

What's the energy usage of a small walk-in vs the four freezers (currently)?

Just looking for further opinions or recs.

I've seen a few people do this with a window unit and a controller "Coolbot".

My fear would be losing all my stuff at once due to mechanical failure versus losing 1/4

you need to install just one alarm instead of 4.

My uncle had a walk in fridge in his basement for his kegs (homebrewer).

15 years never one issue. It was about 4x6

This is definitely in the conversation. I'm wondering how hard it is to get it serviced and maintained. Obviously, replacing a freezer is much easier than a walk in freezer.

I don't think coolbots can get to freezer temps

I installed MOCREO ST4 WiFi Thermometer Freezer Alarm, Email Alert, App Notification, Data Record Export, No Subscription Fee, Remote Wireless Temperature Sensor for Refrigerator, Freezer, Hot Tub (2 Pack). Really easy to set up and I get an alert & email when it gets above a certain temperature. It also tells me if it loses power but has a battery backup. I can see the temp in real-time as well.

It has been great and I have no worries about losing everything in the freezer. The only problem is that when someone gets something out you immediately get a notification because the temp raises. I may have to put one on the beer fridge in a few years.
