Looks like spurge. This one is a tough one as they seem to withstand a lot of the preemergents.

Speaking of preemergent, basically time to apply now depending on where you are located.

may need to start hand pulling it out. Fastest approach.

Careful since spurge has tons of tiny seeds. If you disturb it too much it'll just be a vicious cycle.

Spurge. I think Isoxaben is a successful pre-emergent for it, but applied in the spring as it's a late summer weed,

Not spurge, it's Lespedeza. ETA- leaf pattern doesn't quite match. Does it have a "woody" stem?

I would not spray in these temps. Water lawn, then pull. Pre-emergent applied in the fall will knock it out.

Anyone know anything that will kill Dallisgrass? This **** is pretty annoying. Nothing from home depot seems to do **** against it except for roundup.

I thought we should avoid pre emergent on St. Aug as it weakens the root system and promotes fungus (like I have after a year or two of doing pre emerg)

You won't hear that advice from me. If correct type is used in proper application rates and timing (label), I am not aware of a correlation. St. A is disease prone for sure. Good cultivation practices and soil being key, with help from fungicides when needed.

I've asked this on here before without much success, but how about Chamberbitter (gripeweed)? It's spread throughout my area (Longview) like wildfire over the last three summers. Never saw it before that. It was killing St. Augustine at my old house and no amount of hand pulling seems to help. There's a small area infected at my new house and I want to get it under control now.

Glyphosate or a shovel are the only options

Celsius is labeled for post emergent control Chamberbitter in St A, though I have not used it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
