My mom moved into a new house and the HOA has planted a number of oak trees along the street. The one in front of her house is definitely struggling. We've started watering it nightly and I put in these deep drip stakes connected to the drip irrigation to help as well.
But the base looks to be in real bad shape and there's these spots on the tree that I'm not sure what's going on. Is this all insect issues that can be treated?
EDIT: This is in DFW, so I'm sure part of it is heat stress. There's a tree two houses down that is 100% brown and dead. Just hoping we can save this one.
