I've had the Kobalt 80V electric mower for about 5 years now and it works great. As others have mentioned, long/wet grass drains the battery and doesn't result in a very clean cut. But if you're consistent with mowing before it gets too tall then electric is the way to go.
I have 3 batteries and 2 chargers. If it's only been a week between cuts then 3 batteries usually covers mowing, weedeating, and leaf blowing. If the grass is long/wet then I'll go through a couple extra charge cycles but they charge fast enough that I don't have to sit around waiting on the next battery to be ready.
Don't know why I'd ever go back to a gas engine.
