Can you really tell a difference? I have a hard time believing this.
I've got tempur pedic topper that is the breeze version. Its definitely cooler than the original tempur pedic mattress but thats not saying much.Lake08 said:

Forget giving your wife the dutch oven when you fart under the sheets, you're now in convection mode.atmtws said:
Get a bedfan. Best $200 you'll ever spend. It's also great for when the AC/power goes out. And they're made in Texas.

you didn't really think this through did you?atmtws said:

How much noise does the whole system make? I'm trying to convince my wife to buy the 8 sleep, but she's concerned about the extra noise the machine will make.K Bo said:
We've been using an Eight Sleep for a little over a month now and I wish we had gotten it much sooner. I sleep hot and my wife sleeps cold so having dual temp zones is awesome. Her side is usually set to +/- 1 *F. My side is -5 *F, then I let autopilot run through the night. It's awesome getting in a cold bed and staying cool all night. It's not quite what I thought it was going to be in the sense that it cools the bed all night but rather keeps it from warming up. We also sleep with a 65lb dog in the bed (my side), and before the Eight Sleep I would wake up hot and have to shed covers almost every night. That hasn't happened once since having the Eight Sleep.

I think we might give this a try
Pro tip: These straps can be installed over the top of mattress for those who like a very "confined" sleeping arrangement with their madame.atmtws said:
Remember to tuck in your top sheet tightly around the backside of it (I've rolled up a large bath towel before and stuffed it around the sheet also to keep it from pulling up). Directing the air across the top of the mattress is the key, obviously, but also keeping the sheet from pulling away. I bought these sheet straps and they've worked great! Connect them to the top sheet at the foot of the bed, then to the fitted sheet at the other end.

If you really want a cool mattress, I'd look into this. Its literally a watering cooling topper. Almost pulled the trigger on it, but haven't yet.
