I've recently determined that I probably need to replace the gutters (of uncertain age) in the house I bought in Charlotte earlier this year. First clue was the tree growing out of the gutter on the back side of my house. Second clue was the inch and a half of silt and roof granules in the gutter. Third clue was, after cleaning out said silt and muck and such, seeing water pool back towards the middle of the gutter rather than to the downspouts on either end.
The house is single story on a crawlspace; one roofline in the back and two in the front. All three are basically straight lines (with some wraparound at the corners). Total length of all guttering is no more than 120 linear feet, and probably closer to 100.
First quote back for six inch seamless gutters with gutter covers comes in at a cool $4,500, or a minimum of $37.50 per linear foot (assuming 120 lf, which again is probably high, since my house isn't but about 50' wide). That includes demo and haulaway of the existing gutters.
Definitely getting a couple more quotes, but want to get a sanity check as to whether I should expect this ballpark or not.
