Thanks to our lovely water is B/CS, I think my tub handle is stuck.

Doing a replacement in daughters bathroom and can not get the handle to pull off after removing the set screw.

There's just a single set screw under that small cap like the one in the pic below, correct? I've got a rag soaked in vinegar on it right now to see if I can loosen it up. Don't want to pull too hard in fear of damaging something else. But if there's something else I'm missing, would love a pro tip.

Does the handle itself not have a way to pull it off? The ones I've seen like that have a screw on the end (underneath a cover and pointing toward the wall) holding the whole handle onto the cartridge or stem. The set screw is just to keep the handle from spinning around it.

If you are sure you removed all the screws and it still won't come out, you will need some kind of puller. Look into brake pullers. If you are replacing the fixture, you can go ahead and leverage off the plate and don't worry about marring it up. Maybe try a small block of wood between the handle and the plate and use a big screwdriver to pry the handle off.

I agree. Looks like you'd have to move the handle first. Look for a set screw under the handle, or maybe it unscrews.

I've looked all around and the one circled is the only set screw I can find.

I've also tried twisting the handle off with no luck. I used channel locks on the one I am swapping and it would not turn. I'm thinking it's not threaded.

Is there a plug at the end that can be popped out?

Or sometimes you have to rotate the handle and pull at just the right spot where inner slots line up.

Welp, sounds like it's a lost cause. Time to demo everything and start from scratch. I'm sure your wife will understand. We'll be on standby to help you with the plans but a Buccee's tunnel wash would be a good starting point for inspiration.

Would have helped if I'd put up that photo earlier….

And a complete demo is a solid maybe at this point. I mean, when I end up ripping this thing through the tile out of frustration, that's where we'll end up.

Are you sure it's not a Push-Fit handle?

Edit: basically what QuadDog already said

from the instructions for a similar model on the Delta website, it looks like that is the only set screw. the handle should pull straight off after removing that.
