Hey guys,

I'm considering redoing my floor in my garage. I think the previous owner did the epoxy floor himself, and it needs to be redone. Anybody have any good recommendations for companies redo epoxy floors?

I did my own. My neighbor used gulf coast outdoor living. His looks way better. Brad is a great guy that did my outdoor kitchen and I should have let them do the garage too.

I can't speak for a Houston resource, but look at a polyurea coating instead of epoxy. Costs a little more but it is more durable.
Staff - take out the trash.

Yeah, I've seen that mentioned as I've been looking up coverings. Thanks for the heads up.

I thought about DIY, but I'm def leaning towards hiring somebody.

I looked into doing my own, and glad I didn't. We went with Polyaspartic instead of Epoxy due to the UV resistance, and it looks awesome! I'm North Dallas so no help.

Stampede Coatings in College Station does polyurea garage coatings.
They may come to NW Houston.

Cost is about $6 sq ft.

How much did polyaspartic run you?

I ended up doing a two part epoxy tinted base coat bc it adheres to everything so well and then a polyurea clear coat to avoid ambering from the sun.

Legacy Nohr-S , Armorpoxy SPGX, and FastKote are all quite expensive

It was right at $3,000. My garage is about 700 sq ft.

That seems pretty good for 700 ft.

Materials could have been $1/ft. And grinding the floors is a chore.

We used Epoxy Floors Texas. Think they're based around Houston, though they service other areas. Ours was $3.70/square foot, but back in Feb 2020. I'd guess it is higher now. We're happy with the work. Best of luck in your search.
