First, I'd say for most electric ovens it's closer to 15 minutes. Maybe the poster wants the oven ready when he gets home so he can throw the food in, then go to the bathroom, change out of work clothes, pour a drink, check his phone, and the food is cooked?62strat said:Preheat takes, what 7-9 minutes?AggieOO said:I'd absolutely love to be able to preheat the oven so it's ready when I get home.Marvin_Zindler said:
I don't need my stove to text me.
Can dinner really not be delayed 7-9 minutes?
As soon as you walk in, you turn it on. Then you go to the bathroom, change out of work clothes, pour a drink, check your phone, and the oven is preheated.
But, the entire point of smart appliances/features is a small, fractional "improvement." Literally every person posting about why they like a smart thermostat, light, door locks, etc. are because of small fractional improvements, most not saving anywhere near 10 minutes of time. Hell, someone posted they like their smart thermostat so they don't have to get out of bed to change it.
