Yes. One of the weirdest parts about this is the freezer looks like it's never been used. Very clean and the parts don't seem like they've been put together before. Inside looks brand new.

Maybe the seller bought it damaged and tried to fix it? Who was selling it?

First full month bill and it's definitely higher than previous months but it's also getting hotter out so can't really identify how much more it is since we weren't here last year. 2,044 kWh equating to $268 for 3/24 - 4/24. I'm OK with that. Was really worried about some crazy ass number. Will post pic when I get everything organized. Trying to find some bins that will fit on the racks that I can keep everything organized.

I'd strongly recommend not doing what I did though, and actually call them before buying to make sure it works.

Welp...$517 electric bill this month. That's definitely a record and only getting hotter. Going to have to figure out how to conserve elsewhere I guess!

If the family gets too hot in the house (which is set to 80) they can cool off in the freezer.

Forgot to update the thread to what happened a couple weeks ago. Have a feeling this will be an ongoing thread of stupid **** happening.

I went out and the freezer was at 30 and would shut off every once in a while for 10 minutes or so, which let it get up to nearly 60 degrees. I called the freezer guy that had come out to fill up with freon and fix the leak, and he came over that afternoon. Said everything was checking out correctly and the freezer was perfect. New thermostat, no leaks in freon, no ice buildup or anything, other than a tiny bit of ice on one of the metal pipes on top of the freezer. Freezer was, of course, well below freezing and working fine while he was there. He left and told me he'd check in with me the next day. It got up to nearly 60 again and I was worried about my meat (luckily hadn't transferred everything over to this yet). He came back out and had done some research/talked to his boss. He facetimed his boss and showed him the ice and his boss immediately said there was too much freon, and to slowly let it out until that ice goes away. Sure enough, he let out quite a bit of freon and temp of freezer started dropping immediately. When he filled up the freon it was cold outside and then when it got hot something happens and it expands I guess which made it too full. The freezer was running perfectly but it was telling itself that it was at the correct temp when it was much higher. Problem solved and has been great ever since.

Also found out that it has 3 times each day that it goes into a defrost mode for about 10 minutes.
