Just moved in to a new house and all the blinds need replacing. We have 20 windows of varying sizes. Where is the best place to buy a crap load of blinds? We did this about 5 years ago and bought them all from Home Depot. The average sized window ran about $80 per. Is there a place to get them cheaper?

Blindster.com and Google for a 20% off promo code. Takes about 2 weeks from order to delivery. Average size windows were about $50 each.

jcp is the best place for 2" faux wood....our windows are standard size but two different lengths. I got 12 blinds for less than $250

Budget blinds has done two houses for us, and been awesome! They come out and measure each window individually and install is included in the price (very important as it can be more of a pain than you would think). They came out to around 50 bucks each last year and that was for "semi custom".

Here's a second for Budget Blinds.

Steven Strong is the owner and takes tremendous pride in his work. He has done faux wood and plantation shutters at our house. He brought selections and samples to the house at the bid and made the process super easy from start to finish.

Blinds.Com - have done my whole house with their own brand product ( primarily 2" Fauxwood) and am extremely happy with the quality as well as price. Plus they are a TX-based company if that matters to you.

Select Blinds.

They're all pretty well the same. Just find the site running a deal.

We had very different experiences. I have always heard budget blinds is the way to go. I had a rep come out to measure late last year and the average price per window was around $200. I don't have small windows, but I don't think I have large windows either. I have 27 total windows that require blinds.

I am curious about your particulars. Is this a location issue where each rep can charge what they want?

It may be a location issue. The house we did last summer was in Bryan, and had 28 windows that we had replaced, new trim ect. Our windows aren't huge, but are actually a little taller than most. So far as price goes I don't recall even seeing anything on the price list in the $200 range. I agree that is a ridiculous price. I believe they are a franchise so they probably do have some variation in price. Where are you located?
Edit: just looked up the invoice and it was actually $60+tax per window, sorry I was a bit off earlier.

I am in Humble and went through the Budget blinds of the Woodlands, which may be the main reason of the issue.

I would guess that is the issue. The one here is owned by Steven Strong and I have never had anything but great dealings with him.

Yeah my parents live in College Station and that is where I was recommended to use BB. I may have to try a different office and see if the price is better.

The ones I bought at HD last night were ~$40-42 per set for 42"x64 and 46"x64". Lowe's sells some for about the same price that you can cut at home with a miter saw.
