I have two huge Tomatillo plants that have been in the ground since March. They have been flowering heavy and are receiving full sun. The question I have is how long does it take for them to fruit?

Is anyone growing Tomatillos and have they fruited yet? Thanks!

If they're flowering but not setting fruit, try shaking the plants together or using a paintbrush to pollinate the flowers. Go from one plant to the other. You may even need more than 2 plants.

I will try that. I knew that they needed more than one to reproduce but I thought two would be enough. Oh well, as long as the heat isn't the problem, the sun is smoking my tomatoes.

I'm sure it isn't helping, but if they haven't set fruit all year then it's probably not that.

Had 4 plants had same problem. On the other hand the tomatoes did awesome.
