Anyone know of a suitable substitute for MSMA? EPA took it off the market due to arsenic levels...

Noticed that a month or so ago when at HD. Asked the guy there in he pointed out a product that came in powder form that is supposedly designed to replace it. Comes in three little packets and you mix with water. I think the prand was Image but don't remember for sure. He didn't seem overly enthused about it. I still have some MSMA left so am not worried about it yet.

I bought a quart of it last year, so I figure I've got about a hundred year supply of it.

Hate to hear that we might lose MSMA. Although, I tried that Image three-pack and it works very well and quick. Of course it is only good for small spot-treatments; each packet is to be mixed in one gallon of water.

I thought the Image 3 pack contained MSMA? I just bought a couple of boxes a few weeks ago and applied it. Whether it does or not, it does work well.

I found some Green Light brand crabgrass killer that contains MSMA at a local feed store a few weeks ago.

MSMA has been said to be coming off the market for a few years. I believe it has stopped being manufactured but the remainder of it is still being sold. I know a lot of people who stocked up with years supply when the news first came out. Here it is 2-3 years later and it can still be bought
