Can anyone speak upon the conditions as of recent. Are the new holes they created part of the mix now?

Can't speak to conditions other than they are normally great. New holes are in play, 10 is a great hole imo, I haven't landed on my final opinion of 11 but it is pretty and you are certainly rewarded if you go for the green and pull it off. 12 is a little boring to my eye but nothing wrong with it, 13 is another good hole, although you're going to need to be a long player to get home in two. It's a bummer they took the old finishers out but I'd say they did as good of a job as could be expected with the new holes.

What all changes were made and why

They abandoned the last 3 or 4 along the River for future cottage development or something like that- more resort stuff. So the old 10 is now 14 I think. The new 10 -13 are north? Of 9. I like 10 and 13 a lot though- you can really swing out of your shoes on 13 (590 p5). think 12 is out of place.

I do think the new 18 (old 14?) is a much better finishing hole.

I agree the old 18 was always kind of a PITA unless you are just super long off the tee. I never enjoyed the green complex/set up of it. It had a blind feel to it that I didn't like.

Are there still 18 holes?

Yes, I played there in June and course was in great shape!

Inserted new holes 10-13

Old hole 10 is now hole 14

Old hole 14 is now 18. 14-18 as they play now are a great stretch

New 17/old 13 is a great par 4. It's an absolute beast.

Of the holes they did away with, 16 and 17 were really good holes. 17 especially was a really good par 3.

ETA… that place has/had one of the more drastic front 9 vs back 9 experiences as far as difficulty. The front 9 is WILD and very difficult. The back 9 is/was very score-able, though I haven't played the 4 new holes as of yet.

Played it a year ago and enjoyed the track, but in the span of a year they jacked up their prices pretty drastically. Think we paid $105 in August 2023. This year when we looked at bringing the group back it was $160.

I like it, but not that much. I'm sure being a part of a Hyatt Regency brand now is a piece of that as well.

New 10=old 16 - good par 4 that can be very scoreable or very difficult
New 11=old 15 - driveable par 4, very risk reward with a big number looming
New 11=old 17 - simply because it's a par 3
New 12=old 18 - long par 5 that gets very difficult if you try to go for it, not particularly difficult as a 3-shoter

Sorry, im not following this... the new 10 is brand new; you mean old 10? because now that one's 14, isnt it?

If I'm reading it right, they're saying they replaced the 4 holes with 4 similar holes.

I was meaning the holes are equivalent to or very similar ie the new 10 is very similar to the old 16 in how it plays from a scoring perspective

Is this the same place where the greens are usually carpet? I've been out there twice last 2-3 years and it was a great / fun layout but the greens were absolute trash with sand / spots and or slow conditions.
