I knew it was a low compression ball, but I didn't figure you were <70

Can't you just draw the alignment line around the ball with a marker?
Of course, but I'd also have to use a marker to color in half of the ball. The Divide isn't just a line around the ball. The contrasting colors are useful. The strobe effect makes it easier to see in the air on drives. I also line up the ball perpendicular to the target line with yellow facing away from the target on drives to remind me to shift weight properly and keep the club path from going outside. Nice extra benefits that are built-in to the ball permanently, useful for short game and putting practice, and fun on the course.

Update after tonight's round (shot a 42 raw score, 32 net, and made par on the 538 yard par 5 for the first time ever.)

TEE SHOTS (Ball 1 vs Ball 2)
Left Rough 5% vs 19%
Fairway 67% vs 29%
Right Rough 29% vs 52%
Score to Par 1.0 vs 1.3
P Avg Yards 209 vs 193

APPROACH SHOTS (Ball 1 vs Ball 2)
On green 14% vs 12%
Avg Proximity 61ft vs 65ft

SHORT GAME (Ball 1 vs Ball 2)
Avg Proximity 18ft vs 11ft
Up and Down 31% vs 32%
1 Putt 33% vs 41%

Same course conditions as before, but a little cooler tonight. Still no rain.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Wilson Staff Zip. A little practice to get used to the rollout on pitches and chips helped a lot. The improvement in distance and forgiveness over the Q Star Tour Divide was great. I'll keep playing the Zips as my gamer now. Thanks to everyone for the questions and comments!

I'm actually surprised how many Titleist models I don't mind playing from my feral ball collection.

Even on a public golf course, the most lost balls I find are ,.,, PRO V1s or derivatives! What does That tell you?
The BALL went South?

My experiences since the 1950's tell me that there will always be for-the-suckers brands but the new guys w/o ad nor pro-says money (that YOU pay for) brands have performed Equal to V1s and offer perks ... such as Chaos and others haha

Any ball not-for-the-suckers will perform as well as any other
Although I'll agree with the softer feel options seem to do better if your soft game needs help and More practice.

TAMU Prof research once sought to find The Club that makes the most Pro $$$$
1. longest driver
2. most fairwas driver
3. putter
4. short game clubs ... where the most practice is advised from Pros Hogan to today
Ten words or less ... a goal unattainable

When I lived on a public golf course and went ball hunting at the end of the day, I found mostly ProV1/ProV1x. But I also found a lot of Supersofts. My takeaway is that you'll find more of the top selling, most popular balls.
