After buying 3 assorted wedges from proudaggie02 on here years ago, I've always moved some in and out and never really found the best mix (although at times I've only carried a 3 wood and had all but one of these in the bag along with my 4i-PW Mizuno JPX-825 Pros I also bought here... forgot from who though).

Below is what I've got. I'm a high handicapper and the 45 deg PW goes about 130-140 ish. Interested in what you guys think I should keep if I only four available slots:

PW - as stated Mizuno above
50 - Cleveland CG14 8 bounce
52 -Vokey SM6 F Grind 12 bounce
54 - Vokey SM 8 bounce (this must be the OG SM?)
56 - Cleveland Tour Action 588 (I think this is a 14 bounce not stamped but what I gathered from some googling)
60 - TaylorMade TP replaceable face Z groove 10 bounce

My preference is to leave the 52 and 60 out. I know the 54 and 56 are close in loft but I hit those two better than the others. The 60 just seems like a wasted club for me.

Here are your two options in my opinion:

1) get rid of 50 and 54
2) get rid of 52 and 56

I would go with option 1.

You need your 60 for those rare, high bunker shots or high pitch requirements. I just don't think 56 is enough in some situations.

50/52 and 54/56….damn near the same clubs. Probably are the same club if you hit them on range mats.

Fair and good assessment. I have maybe been unfair to the 60 as it's been sitting in the garage collecting dust for a while. Maybe I need to give it some practice love and embrace it again.

The 50 is my favorite club to hit from fairway inside 120 or so with little low punches if the green is open. I've had the 56 the longest but I could probably part with it. Any concerns with having two 8 bounce wedges and a 60/10?

With a 45 degree PW, I'd stick with the 50. 54/56 is just personal preference. I prefer 56, but whichever you like better and have more confidence with.

Agreed on keeping/putting the 60 in the bag.

Believe those (8, 10) are all considered mid - I don't see a problem with that but I don't play around with bounce all that much. Keep it all at mid because I play in a bunch of different conditions and I'm not going to switch out my wedges for different courses.

Everyone is different but I play a 45 PW. so my wedges are 50/54/58

Also, if you are sentimental and love the 56, just go with that and the 50. Heck, have it bent down to 55. 50, 55, 60! Perfect!

Sounds like the decision is which one out of the 54/56 to keep. I'm leaning towards ditching the 56 for now.

45- 52 is too big of a gap and I agree there are shots almost every round to be saved with a 60.

Good call on the 60 everyone, had the 50/54/60 in the bag this morning and used the 60 successfully several times. Guess I could swap in the 56 for the 54 in at some courses where I might need a little more bounce.

Yeah, 54 v 56 is somewhat more comfort zone, but that 56 bounce is there to help with the greenside bunkers.

Which today out of a greenside bunker with the 60/10 I had no issues (almost holed it actually)

I believe everyone is different, and in the end, it comes down to personal preference. If the 60 doesn't fit your game and the 52 isn't useful, leaving them out is a good move. Focus on the wedges you hit best to improve your short game.

My next question is what's everyones wood/hybrid mix? Currently I own Driver/3w/3h. Irons only go down to 4i which I can hit fibe.

Considering switching from the 3h which I don't hit worth a lick to a 5w, which I don't think I've owned in over 20 years.

I ditched hybrids a couple of years ago when I got a new Ping G425 3W. Loved it so much that I got the G425 5W and dumped my 3H.
