So weird you have morning coverage on regular tv Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, but not Friday.

The golf gods must be bored because they are just straight up F'ing with Straka today. Hits the flagstick on his approach shot and the ball gets slingshotted off the green to make double or triple bogie. Only to Ace the later par 3.

Lol what a bad take. Scottie has won the Masters and the Players twice already in his career. In his 5 starts in the PGA he is T4, T8, CUT, T2, and T8. In his last 3 starts in the US Open he is T7, T2, 3. and the Open he is T8, T21, T23.

It took Brooks 5 years to knock off his first major in 2017 and went on a tear the next two years grabbing three more. He was nowhere as consistent as Scheffler he first 4 to 5 years in the majors.

I'm guessing Scott finishes with 8 majors in his career. He really needs to capitalize on his strong play this year and looks like it wont be the US Open. He'll be the favorite again for the British Open.

All true.

Doesn't change that his extreme success seems to favor winning non- major tournaments.

Like I said, weird saying it, but that's just how it feels.

PGA Tour only.
Brooks has 9 wins. 4 are the PGA championship or US Open (44.44%)
Scottie has 11 wins 2 are the Masters. (18.18%)

The players is nice, but it isn't a major as far as the PGA history book is concerned.

First 17 Major Starts - 'As many starts as Scheffler has'

Scheffler - 2 Wins / 17 Starts - 11.8%
Koepka - 1 Win / 17 Starts - 5.9%

Career Major Starts

Scheffler - 2 Wins / 17 Starts - 11.8%
Koepka - 5 Wins / 37 Starts - 13.5 %

Four of Koepka's Majors came 2017-2019.

Also, just browsing their Wiki's noticed a nice little summary box that shows starts and finishes.

Scottie Scheffler has a higher Top 10 % than Koepka in Majors. Scottie is over 50% top ten rate in Majors.

It's just a bad take...

Brooks is actually the oddball of only tuning up for majors. This was his rep long before Scottie ever even hit the scene. Scottie has been elite across the board

What's amazing is that was the easiest hole on the course yesterday. Amazing what moving a pin location to a different area on the green can do at Pinehurst.
