I want to get a set of clubs for my 5yo daughter. I was hoping to find a used set somewhere local, but I live in the middle of nowhere Montana, so hard to come by. What should I get?

I don't want to go crazy on price, but want something that will be good for her to learn with and then our younger daughter can use them. But we have a ton of rock on our property so I don't want to be pissed when they get scratched and dented to hell.

US kids golf off eBay. They have their color code, height system. Look it up and get her a wedge and a putter. As she grows, add more clubs.

Bought my 4yo a wedge from here. I'm happy with the quality and feel. Can't speak for any of the other clubs in the set. Ordered it from Amazon but here's their website

I may have some US Kids 54" irons my son has used as he is about ready for the 57" clubs. If not now, probably later this summer or fall.

our daughter started with these when she was 4

She's since graduated to adult clubs with junior shafts in them but the Callaway's were great for a couple years.

Whatever you do, I'd look at the US Kids training grips

https://www.uskidsgolf.com/training-grips-right-hand

They put these on something they call the "yard club" which is basically just one of their 7i with the trainer grip and some foam balls to knock around the yard. It's $50. Instead I was able to find a couple of sets for $50 or less and put the trainer grips on myself. They may look the same on the website, but the different grip sizes are different lengths as they get bigger.

I just did this a few days ago. Mine are 4 and 7. The grip thing is a huge challenge and they will NOT want to listen to YOU. Plus we probably do horrible jobs of explaining it. But they both took to the grip trainer immediately. match the Vs on the grip to the Vs on your hands . . . done, no more arguments.

U.S. Kids has a good system, but they aren't the only ones making good sets like this. I think they have MORE sets with tighter height ranges. so if you want to progress through all the colors and maintain the best fit at all times, they're certainly the best.

TGW has these for $120. Not bad for a something new.

I just got a set of Precise XD-J for my 4 year old. Found them locally for $25 with just bag, driver, 7i and putter.

If you're shopping alternatives to US kids, look up the lengths of the clubs that match your kids color range, then look for sets that are of that length.

Rather Be Fishing,

I have quite a few junior sets that I no longer use as part of my junior golf programs (converted everything to Ping). If you are able to pay for shipping, I will happily give them to you. If you are interested, please reach out to me at 979-777-7023 and we can figure out the details.

This offer applies to anyone else that is interested as well. It would be nice to clean out the bag room a bit and get some clubs in to the junior golfers hands.

Hey Jim, do you have anything for a 7yo (48")? If so I'd like to talk about getting a set

Good bull!

Seems like many junior programs have transitioned to Ping lately.

What's driving the change for you guys?

Saw on instagram where Golf Roots in Dallas is giving away kids clubs this weekend for free to celebrate Fathers Day.

Excellent job, Ben.
