Taking a trip to Red Rocks in May and wanted to get any recommendations on where to play 2 rounds in the area.

Any eateries or other sights to see are also appreciated.
Outside of the back 9 the Ridge is not as good as Bear Dance or Arrowhead.Kansas Kid said:Aggie Athlete Involved said:

Agreed. I would add the Ridge at Castle Pines north.

And yes, I live in Castle Pines.
It was in decent shape at the end of last season, they have a couple of greens eroding away that I am sure they are fixing over the winter.Kansas Kid said:ILikeTacos said:Outside of the back 9 the Ridge is not as good as Bear Dance or Arrowhead.Kansas Kid said:Aggie Athlete Involved said:

I agree with you but if you can't fit in one of those 2, I think Castle Pines north is a good course. I haven't played it in 7-10 years so I am assuming it is still being maintained well.
Yeah it was fairly easy this past season. Obviously with a group you might have to plan it out a little bit but it was pretty open for me.Kansas Kid said:
The last couple of times I tried to play Bear Dance, I couldn't get a tee time. Has that changed?
PS. For me, if I am playing golf in the area, I am always looking to play Keystone, Eagle Vail, etc, although there is good golf in the Front Range.
Bear Dance opens their sheet 90 days in advance. I also believe every other time, or a couple an hour, are held for member play and PGA member play. So you have to plan ahead a bit because a lot of tee times get gobbled up.Kansas Kid said:

Yeah there is so much great golf in Colorado, I was just thinking within a 30-45 min trek of Red Rocks if that is where he will be.
