He did play well but if Trump is winning club championships like he is claiming over the last 5 years either 1) players are intentionally losing, 2) there is creative accounting going on or 3) Trump can't get good players to join his club. I vote for 2 given some of the stories told.

PS. I don't think even Gary Player could have won a club championship at the same age as Trump is at any private club I have ever played.

Yea, and the club championships also have multiple flights. So there may be a flight for his age. But also, he could be in he 4th flight and playing from the old man tees or lady tees (given his age, he wouldn't just be playing from the typical senior tee boxes). With his length and accuracy off the tee, he probably would be very competitive in his flight when he gets to play from the old man or lady tees against others playing from the tips or one ups.

I wonder if the current best golfer over 80 would be a retired PGA player, or if those guys are typically so tired of it and/or broken down at that point that they never play, and the best player is just a club pro that still enjoys getting out there and competing. I'll go with retired PGA guy. Gary Player apparently was still actively playing at age 85 (and probably still plays).

Loved the video and was impressed with Trumps game. Did anyone else get a little uncomfortable with how often Bryson said "I'm inside the President "

Yes, from the reds. He and Sergio tried to break 50 from the whites at a different course and came up just short so he decided to try reds with the Don.

Biggest takeaways for me are...Don is very very good for his age. Extremely good. Bryson is a stud which we knew. Good content for a good cause...Trump should act more like he did in this video when he does his stump speeches and not turn into his 'political' character. Everyone talks about how good a guy and how personable he is outside of public view and he needs to learn how to mesh that into his political character.

I know of no club that declares their club champion on a net basis or using any tees other than the tips.

How does Trump claim the title? This one he won despite not even playing in the actual championship tournament.

Newsflash....politicians lie. All of them do.

Some clubs have a gross and net champion also senior champion. i wouldn't rule it out.

In the video, Trump is claiming the overall championship. Same with the attached article. He has also said it in many interviews. Some of his 20 championships claimed are senior and super senior titles btw. I can believe those but no way a 70+ year old is winning the overall club championship at a high end private club.

No comment since this is the golf board and not the politics board.

Big difference when you're playing a casual round of golf than when you are trying to combat the evil humans trying to turn our country socialist along with having to answer baited/gotcha questions from the terrible media.
