No idea on rentals other than the courses. It's starting to get hot so you might find conditions less than ideal as the overseed is overtaken by summer conditions. Still good though.

We're probably staying at the Westin Kierland in March. Definitely getting one round in, maybe two. Just myself but my wife will be riding along with me.

Check with the hotel and course at Kierland. They might have better rates for Westin guests. Also make sure they or anywhere else you check with allows a non-playing cart rider. A friend brought his wife to ride when we were playing earlier this year and she wasn't allowed.

March is prime tourist season so you might have trouble finding <$250 at the more in demand courses.

We played Sun Ridge in February. It looks like it's $240-270 depending on the dynamic pricing. It worked for Scottsdale golf. Not a terrible drive from there. We stayed nearby Kierland. It was tough to get a Uber back if you go that route, but the folks at the bar called a local who drives people back from the course into town. I think it was $50. He was a good dude.

Don't be telling people about Sun Ridge.

I'm headed to We-Ko-Pa this morning. You can never go wrong there. It won't be <$250 in March though.

I am playing WeKoPa on a Friday afternoon in January. The cost then is $299. Great course. Both courses are in my top 10 in the Phoenix area. Number 1 course in my eyes is Troon North - Monument Course. Specatular.

Change of plans.. we decided to take our Scottsdale trip in late January to get cheaper stay, flights, and golf.

Just booked We-Ko-Pa Cholla for the 29th.

Bring cold weather gear. Nights are cold and it takes a while to warm up in the morning. I think you said you're staying at Kierland. Good area.

Cholla is good. My personal opinion is they put more resources into saguaro so if you're looking for ELITE conditions I'd may try to switch. Both are fun though

Take a Waymo taxi out to dinner. They are nice.

I assume you've taken one? I saw the cops trying to stop one on 24th street by the Biltmore back in July. It didn't have a rider but was cutting in and out of traffic like a fugitive.

Took several in October. It was great. Cheap, clean and no awkward small talk with an uber driver. Never felt unsafe with its driving. It doesn't speed, so if you're trying to save 15 seconds, it won't work. Otherwise, it was great. New Jags too. I don't ever care to use uber again after that. We'll see how I feel after the cars get trashed soon enough.

Picked up family at Sky Harbor today and bunches of guys with heavy coats under their arms and golf bags were coming out of baggage claim.

So, I'm playing at We-Ko-Pa (Saguaro) in a few weeks.. last week of January. I live in Houston area.

If current temperatures hold, and highs are mid-to-upper 60's and lows are upper 30's to mid 40's.. what should I prep to wear for a 11:00 tee time?

I know desert temps are different than Houston climate, but not sure how layering works here vs there.

Shorts and a pullover. It was 40 when we teed off this morning at 8 and by 10 it was fine.
