Thinking of taking a late summer trip to Vail and want to play 2-3 rounds. Where should I play? I know about Eagle-Vail and Beaver Creek, should I play there or others?

Red Sky Ranch in Wolcott is very good , 2 courses (Fabio and Norman). Cordillera in Edwards is really nice but private, have to find a way to get on. Both are probably $250+

Beaver Creek course is short and tight, fairways are side by side. Nothing special.

Vail golf course is ok, several good courses in Keystone and you have another good course in Eagle all are public, several really good private courses… if your belong to a club, your Pro might be able to get you on some of the private ones

Book a condo or hotel through Vail and play the two Red Sky courses

Avoid Sonnenalp if you can get on the other courses mentioned. Eagle Vail is a good muni. It is about an hour drive but the Keystone courses are some of the best public courses around in the area. Especially the river course.

Red Sky is also good if you can get on.

Red sky was the best
