Gotcha. I knew Sam had full status but didn't know Lee did. Good for him. Will be rooting for them both.

I don't think Sammy B gets status from PGA tour U. He finished 5th for reference.

Players who finished Nos. 2-5 in the final PGA TOUR University Ranking earned fully exempt Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2023, as well as an exemption to Final Stage of 2023 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry where the top five finishers and ties earn PGA TOUR cards and the ability to accept unlimited PGA TOUR sponsor exemptions for the remainder of 2023 and 2024.

Sammy and Walker definitely did not have their best stuff this week. The conditions were very hard with a tough wind the 1st 3 days. Unfortunately, they both had the tougher of 2 tee time draws but they will tell you they should have done much better. Many pros say that this is the most pressure packed event that a golfer will EVER play. It is not for the faint of heart, 4 days of constant tension on every single shot. I understand why most fail in their 1st few attempts. The field was loaded with a unique group that included a bunch of former PGA Tour winners, a ton of young studs, many journeymen and internationals…All amazing players. This tournament always generates some great stories, many good and many bad.
Sammy and Walker gained a lot of great experience from this tournament and should be better because of it. Hopefully they will never have to ever come back as there is absolutely nothing fun about this event!

Proud of Walker hanging tough. All in all, it's been a fruitful year for him.

I could have sworn it said full status on KFT last year. I guess we will see. Sam even alluded to it. Maybe it changed on I heard wrong!

I THINK the auto Korn Ferry that Sam earned was thru 2023..Seems he elected to play pga sponsorship events instead, and played quite a few pga events earning some $ and good experience.

This year's fall pga was different than most years and exemptions were harder to get. Again, just a guess.
