Based off history I reluctantly say Europe wins on home turf by 2 points

Sure hope the arrogance of not selecting the best doesn't hurt the US. DJ & Bryson should have both been on that team at the very least.
I'm not optimistic when you have guys like Wyndham Clark saying he should beat Rory.

USA have lost to more than a few "weak on paper" Europe teams, so I don't think that means much of anything, especially playing in Europe (assuming the faithful travel to Italy like they have to more traditional Euro locations). I fully expect USA to lose and will consider a win a very nice surprise upset.

I don't understand this take...IMO, this is the best Euro team in a while. Rory , Rham, and Hovland are currently the 3 best golfers on the planet.

Debatable that they are the 3 best.
It's very top heavy IMO. Yes the top 3 are awesome but you get to players 8-12 and I like the US team much more. Two of our rookies are major Champs this year.
This year's Ryder Cup will come down to putting and who can stay out of the rough the best. Team Europe is coming into the event in good form but Team USA does have some experienced and proven partner teams like Jordan/JT and Xander/Cantlay that won't be fazed by the boisterous crowds.
Any thoughts on wagers?

He probably didn't fly with the team. He was playing in the LIV event.
after the creation of LIV I have a hard time getting excited about the Ryder Cup event. I probably wont even watch it.

One could argue that Ryder Cup hasn't been about the best players on each side of the pond playing against each other, ever. Captains get picks and grab who they want, not always who is playing best. Hell, Poulter played a ton over the years despite below average previous results in regular tour stops.

Yeah. The goal has never been to take the 12 guys playing the best right this second. Fit has always played a role. And every time there are close calls and guys that were on the outside looking in and have a gripe. This year doesn't seem any different.
