Looking for info on golf course membership in Houston area. Just graduated and live in the heights.

Looking for a course around 30min or less that offers less than 30 year old memberships. I usually carry my own bag too.

Lot of courses in the area so trying to get a feel for cost and what courses people are members at and like. T&G

what days will you typically play - weekday, weekends? - that will affect traffic

when looking at clubs look to see if you have alternate routes to get there - Houston freeways and weekend construction can screw you very quickly

The Heights is in Country Club purgatory like much of the inner loop of Houston unless you have six figures available for an initiation fee. You're driving 20-30 minutes minimum to get to a club.
