Heading to Lajitas tomorrow. Anyone been recently? Curious about course conditions and crowds this time of year.

I'll be there tomorrow too. If you beat my group there, let us know if we need to turn around or if the course looks ok.

I was there in December and the course was still in darn good shape for December 28th.

Different group coming by private vehicle. Staying in a casita. Won't be there til around 5. Play saturday assuming we don't get too hung over, then repeat the hangover. Sunday.

Course was in very good shape. Greens were rolling true, but still could see the aeration bumps in rare few places. Green grass through fairway and most rough- really well maintained. Tough and beautiful course. I'd like to play it in 2 weeks- but it's in really good shape now!

I'm here now too. Got here Friday. Playing our 4th round this morning. Course is amazing. Hard as ****!

Load up w/ booze in Terlingua, I always enjoy Alpine. Crazy work schedule is hard to make it from Houston out there anymore.

Looks like we are planning on heading that way in the fall with my in laws. Anyone know the cheapest way to book golf, room, and the private flight out of Austin? Through the resort the cheapest way or do it all separate?

Flights separate would be you finding a private flight there. There are not any commercial airline flights into Lajitas. Best to sign up for their mailer. They'll periodically send out reduced rates as well. JSX and Lajitas have same ownership group which is why they're paired up for the charter flights.

Austin is also pretty limited. Looks like they only have 2 trips planned for the fall
