My family and I will be staying in Seaside this July for a week.

We have gone for years but have never tried to play golf. My BIL and I are bringing the sticks this year and want to try and get a couple rounds in while we are there.

Any suggestions on courses we should try to play?

This is a good topic to search as there have been dozens of threads with great info.

I've played Kelly Plantation, Sandestin Raven, and Camp Creek. All great tracks.

sandestin is great.

Raven has hosted Champions tour. fun course with a lot of variety.

Links and Baytown are a level lower than Raven (price and condition) but still fun Florida resort type courses. Links has a lot of short holes, lots of water, some holes on the bay.

Camp Creek, if you have an in, as its private.

Raven is great and on the eastside of Destin so you dont have to get stuck in as much traffic.

Windswept Dunes is a nice choice for a 2nd/3rd round that week

playing there next week and we are playing Kelley Plantation and Raven.

I've played Windswept Dunes many times and it's a great alternative.

Have played Indian Bayou a few times - it's not too expensive. It has good greens and terrible tee boxes. I'm not sure how you pull that off, but they did. But they ae very welcoming and the food is good

Totally agree with the two posters above.

PSA, I think Regatta Bay and & Kelly Plantation are about equal.

Kelly Plantation is great and I think slightly better water views then Regatta Bay if you are looking for ocean golf. Camp Creek is great golf but does not have any holes on the actual water.

If you don't play Windswept Dunes, you're making a mistake.

I like Regatta Bay. Kelly Plantation is fun too. I haven't played the rest, but I'm sure they're fun.

Kelly Plantation greens were outstanding on Friday. The Raven was in great shape with greens slightly slower but it kicked our ass. The back nine was very tough with a north wind yesterday

the other cool thing at Kelly is there is a Bald Eagles nest near the 9th green. We got to see both of the eagles soaring around the green complex while we were putting out.
