If you search for it there's already a pretty good all encompassing thread on Scottsdale.

We-Ko-Pa, TPC Course (either track), Grayhawk, Quintero, Talking Stick are all amazing courses!

We-Ko-Pa is a must play. Gray Hawk was good, Dinosaur Mountain is awesome and Troon is Troon.

This. If you're going to Scottsdale to play golf and not playing one of the We Ko Pa courses than you're doing it waaayyy wrong.

We tried for WeKoPa but it didn;t work out it being booked up for an event.

We settled on Greyhawk but WeKoPa was certainly our first choice.

Guess it gives a reason to go back

That seems to be the consensus from those I've talked to as well as this board

TPC is way over rated. Stadium hole looks like crap without the grandstands and all the dead grass from when they were up.

We-Ko-Pa was awesome. Troon was really nice as well.

Played both Troon courses one day and then both Wekopa the next day….and cancelled our reservations somewhere else to play both Wekopa again the third day. We enjoyed the fact that there were zero houses.

We stayed there - nothing special but not horrible lodging. They have the casino - Wekopa = "we take yo money!!""

Seriously though, loved the courses and will go back.

Greyhawk and We Ko Pa are fantastic. TPC is extremely underwhelming.

Yeah, Greyhawk was the other we played. Troon, We-ko-pa, and Greyawl all better than TPC.

Looking for help with a couple food choices for our group next month. We are staying near Shea Blvd. and North Scottsdale Road. This group is cheap so no Steak 44 or higher end spots. Looking for maybe a little nicer burger, pizza, or place with a patio/ view? I know that's a broad range and we may end up just grabbing something after the round at the course. I just dont want to go to a Hopdoddy type place every night. Would like to maybe go to Old Town on Saturday night. Thanks.

You could do the other location for Pizzeria Bianco, which is a bit closer to Scottsdale. You'll need a reservation well in advance (like call them today) as its very hot these days

We just went spring break and had a great trip.

I HIGHLY recommend playing BOTH Greyhawk courses. In a trip full of amazing courses, the courses and overall experience at Greyhawk experience ranked #1 for us. Best greens of the trip too. We got paired with none other than MLB legend Chile Davis so that was a ton of fun!

Next in line I would rank we-ko-pa (either/both courses). There is a 1/2 price replay so play both same day. We stayed at we-ko-pa and had a good experience.

Next I would rank Troon north. We played monument. It was awesome, but we didn't love the bentgrass greens as much as grehawk (rye) or we-ko-pa (bermuda).

We also played Gold Canyon Dinosaur Mountain. Spectacular views and well worth the drive out there. Lots of elevated tees. I forgot which hole, but there was a 285 yd par 3 that played only 215.

Next time we will stay close to greyhawk and play there twice, and likely we-ko-pa in addition to some new ones.

Dinosaur Mountain
Grey Hawk
Troon
We Ko Pa

Are all awesome and you pay for it. If you need a slight break on price try Eagle Mountain. Great views and desert course. Great thing about Scottsdale is even the cheap courses are great. Have fun.

Picture is sunset at Eagle Mountain with everyone finishing on 18.

Just got back. TPC Champions was our first course played. In pretty good shape. Felt like we were part of the runway with all the smaller high dollar planes landing overhead. Jill at the outside bar was fun.

To be honest it's the course I'm least looking forward to. I was making a push to play elsewhere for that round but the group won out.

Still better than being in the office though!

Yeah I was kind of limited to $200 per round in my group and it was close to where we were staying. It worked out for an arrival day round.

Your other courses will be much better.

Kilt lifters all around !!

I thought TPC Champions was great considering it's right in town and was in great condition. For the price and location being right next to airport it's a great course to kick off your trip there.

Is there a Mickelson designed course nearby?
