Everything I saw online was that yes you get a better read but it isn't as big of a difference as the rhapsodo.

How far is your ball from the net and how far is the unit behind your ball?

Khaos- what did you get that worked well? If you found one....
I got the skytrak, but for the OP, it's maybe not the best fit.

I have used it outside, but if I take it to the range with my ipad, I literally stick an umbrella behind me to keep it in the shade. It gets hot.

Just an update... I bought the Garmin R10 about 10 days ago. Set it up outside. Have net, tv, 5x4 mat.

The unit measures and picks up the irons decently, but it's horrendous on Hybrids, fairway woods and drivers. I'll be taking it back tomorrow. Maybe I'll try the Flightscope mevo or the Rhapsodo.

Anyone else have lots of trouble with the R10 or suggestions to make oerform correctly? It's just so badly off distance wise, it's just not worth keeping. For example, 18 degree hybrid should be going 220-230, shows it as 180-190.

yes. i bought mine and HATE IT.

i use it outside and am lucky if it picks up 1/10 iron shots and constantly has to be reset. it's just trash

I bought one of the stands that makes sure it's level and pointed in the right direction. It's also on a mat to make sure it's the same height. Then put it 7 feet behind me and the net 8 feet in front of me and it works great. It's kind of a pain to set up and when I eventually get the room indoors I will probably use a different launch monitor.

For you guys using the SkyTrak, is there a way to switch from irons to driver without moving the device? I'm still tweaking my setup (will post pics later) and found this little detail a turn-off for me. Seems like this would make the FlightScope Mevo+ the better option.

I've never done that. I just have the machine set up a little towards the front of the mat so that my setup is always on the mat despite the shot type. I'm pretty tall, and can take a wide driver stance without my feet leaving the mats footprint.

Are you using a SkyTrak? It has a laser that shows you where you need to place the ball so it will read the shot. When hitting driver you have to move the SkyTrak so that the laser hits the spot where the tee hits the ground (or mat). Then when I switch to irons I have to move the SkyTrak so the laser spot is hitting a part of the mat away from the tee. Am I doing this wrong somehow?

Yeah, I have skytrak. I have a flat mat with no tee holes. Then, I have birdtees from amazon that I put on the dot. The mat is big enough to fit my stance in no matter what shot. I've never moved my skytrak for different shots.

I will check out those bird tees. I bought the premium fiber built mat and it came with a tee that sticks up through the hitting surface.

ah yeah, that makes sense. I know some people with those set it up on a slider base that photographers use, so that it's easy to switch.

How does the mevo perform outdoors? That's where I'd be using it...
