Anyone know where to buy or have a connect to get some of the gear the team was wearing this week in AZ? The hats were very clean and unfortunately, Aggieland Outfitters does not make hats that nice.

Golf board answer is donate. They gave 3-4 different levels that gets you different swag
Edit: just went back and looked. Seems like they changed some of the offerings. Not as much in terms of shirts and hats anymore.

Imagine how much they would actually raise for the team if they sold the team issue gear...
I agree, but all the gear they receive is donated by manufacturers. They are not allowed to sell it retail.

If you were an Oklahoma State or Texas fan and saw the golf team wearing something you like, it is easy to go buy it either in the pro shop or online.
If you are a Texas A&M fan and see the golf team wearing something you like, it is most likely not available for purchase.

go to traditions and buy some gear in the pro shop. That is about as close as you can get without the donation hassle crap as above.

Traditions doesn't sell Texas A&M Golf gear. Because they're a separate entity from Texas A&M, they don't have the marketing rights. They can only sell gear with the Traditions logo. This is where others schools market their golf teams much better than A&M does.

no, but they sell peter millar aTm polos, pullovers, etc. It is at least nicer then the standard adidas crap.

Yep. Or they have much more an interest/relationship in the "hone course."
Quick survey: If the Texas A&M Golf team gear (e.g., hats, shirts, belts, pullovers, bags, headcovers, etc.) were available for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the men's and women's golf teams, would you purchase some? If yes, please star this post.
Typically the manufacturers will not sell merchandise to the public that the student athletes wear. The gear they wear is strictly for the teams.

Not true. Did you see the gear Texas was wearing on the Golf Channel this week while they were competing in the Southwestern Invitational? The exact same gear is available for purchase on their website. Identical. They are the defending national champions.

It's crazy that you and other Ags are reaching out to the manufacturers trying to buy Texas A&M Golf gear but can't get it. It's an opportunity missed for the Texas A&M Golf teams, the athletic department, Traditions, the manufacturers, and the golf team supporters.AgOutsideAustin said:

Meanwhile, most of the top golf programs in the country have it figured out from a marketing standpoint. The Karsten Creek pro shop in Stillwater, OK, sells over $2m worth of Oklahoma State Golf gear annually.
A&M athletics never thinks big enough (exception is football)
I did watch the tournament on the golf channel and could careless what tu wears and it's availability to the public. I was at Karsten when OSU beat us the the first round of match play the year(2018) they won it all. Yeah, their pro shop sells Swinging Pete merchandise but I promise you it's not what the team wears. All of the gear is from Nike. Coach Bratton told me their gear was not available to buy for the public. Also, took a tour of the Aggie facility recently with a former mens player and none of the stuff they wear is for sale to the public.

Oklahoma State Golf's Nike gear is available for purchase on their website. Take a quick peak.
It might look the same, but it's not. There's not a Nike Swinging Pete hat like they wear anywhere for sale. That's from their HC, and I'm pretty sure he knows.

A&M hats, generally speaking, haven't changed since '01. Lord they are outdated and no end in sight. Someone find me an imperial A&M hat, best hat brand in golf, anyone?
I just learned about Imperial hats. I must say, they are truly awesome golf hats. They way outclass the Nike hat in my humble opinion. I had no idea there were no Imperial A&M hats. I have a couple of the Imperial U.S. am. caps still in the bag from last year that are way cool. They did a lot of the U.S. Open caps last year too. They blew the Nike hats away. Much better looking. I called last year to Imperial and told them I would buy 50 Ol Sarge hats because I knew this board would want them. Nope sir you have to go through the University.
Dan got a few hats from Ross, he hasn't posted yet about his finds.
Based on the interest here, gonna start trying to get a merch order together of official non-official golf team gear.
