Probably as long as people like you dismiss the way the PGAT has mismanaged the entire situation that caused the LIV to be formed.
If the PGAT is colluding with the other leagues to keep them from getting OWGR points while 20 other tours with lesser players do, it hurts their marketability. That ultimately hurts the game whether the end justifies the means for you or not.
The fact they are already changing the OWGR rules to be different than what the other tours had to pass and even pro PGAT media outlets are claiming they were the reason other leagues broke off talks with Saudi Golf, there might be a decent case for Anti-trust or even collusion.
It wouldn't be the first time the PGAT has had Anti-Trust issues.
People like me huh?
Since you are so in tune, tell us what you think they should do and why. And please explain why you want them to fail.
I don't want them to fail. Unfortunately, there isn't much they can do now, but pray as it appears they mismanaged the Saudis and did a horrible job representing the best interests of the players.
They should have sat down with Saudi Golf when they asked to discuss growing the game in the middle east. It was reported they wanted to sponsor more tournaments from the various tours with the goal being to eventually have a tour like the Asian Tour. PGAT wouldn't even have a conversation with them and supposedly pressure the DP World Tour to cut discussions as well. That embarrassed and pissed off a prideful group that has more money than the tour can dream of having. So now you have LIV golf.
And they better pray. The first lawsuit was a joke as is this one from Reed. However, I think it's very likely there was and still is collusion and most likely anti-trust violations by the PGAT in their desperation to keep it viable. As well as the administration hoping they get to keep their jobs. If the players decide it's been mishandled or the PGAT didn't act in the player's best interests by not even having conversations with potential sponsors, it could get ugly.
