Every data point says the opposite

Forget the data points and calculations. Play from the tees that give you a realistic chance at making GIR with your most reliable clubs. My most consistent irons are a 6 and a 9. For me, that means most of the par 4s need to be around 350, or else I'm just setting myself up for a miserable round.

Usually from about 6700 yards. That's the men's tees at the private course and the tips at the muni.

I am 44 and have lost a lot of distance in the last few years, mostly because I don't play much anymore. Until about five years ago I played from the tips just about everywhere I went unless it was unusually long. I will still do it on occasion depending on the course.

I'm a 13. A little rusty at the moment so playing worse than that.

Usually play whites. 6400 feels like the proper distance for me.

Often find myself between two options. I usually check the par 3 distances.

I think I look for par 3's that are usually no more than 190. The hard part about where I. Usually play is they're either 200+ or 150 and that is a HUGE gap. It's hitting a 5i or 9i
