What are your thoughts? Is it worth it?

I hit the 425. I have the 410 currently. I didn't see a compelling reason to buy the 425. That's not saying it's a bad club. It is a good one. So is the 410 and it's paid for.

I would like to thank the g425 for driving down the price of the g410

My G400 developed a crack in the hosel, so PING replaced it under warranty with a G425. I've only had it out once, but I was very impressed. Distance seemed 10+ yards better and a pretty-far-off-center hit still found the fairway w/o losing too much distance.

Only issue - it is LOUD.

I love my old set up, the GD TP is an incredible shaft. I'll curios to see how things go when I get back, I've played 6 times since I've been here, even played in a Stableford tournament last weekend.....had to play with rentals, talk about rough.

Anyways, figured if anyone was hitting it, it would be you.

Played first round with with G425 yesterday. (Well, 9 holes). My BIL plays with the G410.

There's a very distinct difference in the sound of the 2 clubs. Loudness, pitch/tone, everything. It's not bad. It's just different.

Definitely different than my old R15. But after 5 years I think I was tone deaf to the sound. Possible I'm just hyper focused on the new club and it's differences.



But as far as performance this G425 is hot compared to what I'm used to. But that's a combo of 5 year newer head and a custom fitted shaft vs stock on my R15.

It's very good. I switched from the 410 a few moths back and love it.

Love my 425. Best driver I've ever hit, insanely forgiving. I'm not what you would call a PING guy. It's the only club of the brand in my bag
