Anyone have a recommendation for club regripping? My go to guy in the Sugar Land area left town.

Do it yourself. It's fun. Hit up grips.com and get the kit with tape and fluid. Use a utility knife to slice the old ones lengthwise; yank them off. Pull off the old tape (hardest part if you're regripping factory clubs). Put on new tape (strips) to about a half-inch past the end of the shaft, wad it up and stick in the end of the shaft. Spray fluid inside the grip, shake, pour over the tape. Slide the grip on and adjust the alignment line. Repeat.

Oh. And "that's what she said".

Did my own tonight (first time). Bought a kit from Academy and grips from a local pro shop. First couple had me nervous, but I figured it out in short order. Hook knife helps a lot, table vise is a must. Superstroke putter grip was the easiest to put on.

DSG/Golf Galaxy often has a free regrip with the purchase of a grip. It's not all the time, but probably 3 or 4 times a year they'll run that promo.

These threads are always full of DIY recommendation which is probably annoying for the OPs, but it really is easy. It can be done in less time than you spend driving to and from the store.

Golf pride has a free regripping promotion right now through May 4th.

Removing old tape sucks. Use blue painters tape, rub a little solvent on the tape to make it slick. Blow the new grip on. When it's time to re-grip again blow the old ones off and you can use the same tape. Cutting grips and removing tape is the worst part about re gripping clubs.

Most places will do it free when buying grips. Just do that.
