Anyone have a course they can recommend? Playing early bird @ Tour 18 Monday and would like to play a second 18 somewhere. Anything worthwhile in that area? Something I can book on GolfNow preferrably

The re-openned and public Atascocita was in better shape a year ago than it was in the 1990-2000 era as a private course. Nothing special, but it's a nice old school layout.

Preisler has run Oakhurst into the ground, as usual. Shame too because it's a pretty good layout.

GCoH may be at a weird stage in their transition, but I have no clue. If it's in good shape, it's a fun course though pricey.

PS... Tour 18 can play REALLY slow so it may be ambitious to expect to have enough time for another 18 during this time of year... but good luck and I like your style!

Is Cypresswood back open? Last I checked, they were still shut down.

I heard it was actually the club house and maintenance buildings that took it the worst and that the actual course actually faired OK. Hopefully that's the case, but they definitely took an ass kicking out there.

Kind of makes sense being that Spring Creek borders the back 9 of Tradition and Cypress Creek borders the front 9 of the Cypress. They are wedged between two wild flowing creeks and they actually meet just barely SE of the property. I bet it was crazy out there.

We play there all the time. 7:24 tee time, and Ron let's us off early. Usually done by 11:30 at the latest. Last Tuesday we played there and then played sienna the same day, and sienna is clear across town.


I won't play there unless it's damn near first off. Played at 11:15 and it was excruciating
