I found a hell of a deal on these clubs. They are considered "game improvement" irons. I currently use Taylormade Rocketbladez. My question is I am about an 11 hdcp. Should I wait out a couple years more and get better irons that are between blades and cavity?

When I say these Titleist I found are a hell of a deal, I mean way less than anything I have seen in stores or online. Any thought or opinions on the clubs or thoughts please share.

There are pga pros that use "game improvement irons". Just play what you want.

I'm a 12 hdcp and I game ap1's. They are very good for my game. I couldn't imagine waiting for a few years planning on getting better in order to get blades. Even if I was a single digit handicap I would want the most forgiving, vest feeling club in order to maintain that handicap. I'd imagine if I switched to blades as soon as a dropped down to single digits my handicap would then rise.?

When someone asks, "what benefit do you get by hitting blades (or even forged like an AP2) vs game improvement irons?" What do y'all tell them?

I play a forgiving club but it is forged. I just hate the way cast feels off the face. No idea why.

Yup.

I get good feedback on mis-hits with forged irons. Not so much with oversized cast clubs.

So I'm on my first set of forged (AP2s for about 2-3 years). Every time I hit game improvements, either because of rentals or just hitting a friend's, it feels like secks.

The only benefit I see is I know immediately if I missed and where the miss is and I can adjust because I know where my mis hits are on the face. And they look much better. Aim small miss small mindset at address.

I play callaway XR Pros...they are cast...im a 5 HC. They are more forgiving and longer than my old forged mizunos. I can tell exactly where I hit them on the face...my ball speed is just more consistent on miss hits. Play what gives u more confidence...i like knowing my miss hit shots travel more consistent distances

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the primary reasons players choose forged isn't for the mi****s. It's for consistent outcomes in shots that are hit flush. Too often with cast, you think you have the right club, you think you hit it flush, only to find it's 10 yards long or short.

This kept happening to me in Vegas when we got a set of brand new M2 rental clubs. I just figured it was the altitude, but damn near every ball I hit felt flush. My distances were all just really inconsistent.

Depends on manufacturer and how they are cast

Biggest reason to choose blades or AP2's over AP1's would be if you are a player that can and wants to shape your shots intentionally. The more forgiving "Game Improvement" irons are a bit harder to work left and right due to their forgiving design.

Edited to add: Consistency on flush shots is also a benefit.

Be careful that these aren't fake. I think someone on here recently bought fake titleist that looked very real. If you don't personally know the guy and the deal seems to good to be true... well it probably is.
I almost bought some a couple weeks ago on Craigslist and after asking a few questions you could obviously tell the guy was bull**** and so were the irons

How did you know they were fake? I have looked at these and they look legit...?
