Is anyone on here a member? I'm a driving range member but haven't been able to justify the cost of being a full time member. If you are a member and are ever looking for a 4th let me know. I'd really like to get a feel for the course.

I really hate that course. Too narrow and too many houses for my liking. Would never consider joining unless I lived on the course. South Shore and and Galveston CC are the two courses in our area that make me feel like I'm stepping back in time.

I've never played South Shore Harbor, but I've never heard any real glowing things about it. Mag Creek on the other hand I have played. It's been a couple of years but I really enjoyed it out there.

They've got 27 and they're all pretty good. Lots of interesting holes in a Links/mounded setting. The condition was awesome as well.

Is magnolia creek fully private like South Shore Harbor?

Mag Creek is private as well, but both those courses as well as Bay Oaks in Clear Lake (which isnt too far) are both under Club Corp, so the awesome thing about it is that if you do join you should get playing privileges at those as well as a number of other Houston area clubs for just a cart fee (depending on your membership plan of course). If I didnt live in Pearland I would have went with them when I was looking for a club, but Golfcrest was half the distance and I got a great deal there.

I have played South Shore, and I like the 3 nine hole layout for variety, but I dont consider it anything spectacular.

Agree with Cracker about SSH, it's an old man course. Really like Magnolia Creek, though.
