Playing Golf and Softball

I grew up playing baseball and now play softball pretty frequently (1-2 times a week). My baseball swing is pretty ingrained in my muscle memory but I find during the times of year when I'm playing golf a lot, my baseball swing goes all to hell.

Just curious if anyone else plays both during the same parts of the year and if it screws with your swing too. How do you combat it? I feel like when I'm focusing on golf, my focus is keeping my lead arm straight, and when that gets in my head, it translates to softball and that is completely wrong and screws everything up.

As long as it's only softball that's suffering, I don't see what the problem is.

It's funny because my playing partner has it the other way around. He can crush a softball, but his softball swing bleeds over into his golf swing and it's not good. He loses a lot of distance and also snap hooks it all the time.

the only thing you can to do try and keep both swings decent, is when playing softball try and hit to opposite field or center. Do not get in the habot of trying to pull it as you will find yourself pulling (snap hook) your golf shot as well. Stay in your shot, stay in your swing.

I let my softball swing suffer the repurcussions. I'm only taking 4-5 softball swings per week, which is dwarfed by my number of golf swings. To the point the poster above made, I generally roll with hitting line drives up the middle. It's not really intentional, that's just where things seem to go when I'm not consciously trying to jack with my softball swing. I'm just trying to catch it square so that it has some heat on it.

Good golf swing = Pop fly
Good softball swing = smother hooks.

I go back and forth

I play both and both swings equally suck! JK. Every once and awhile I will see my softball swing end up in finishing section of my golf swing. Meaning my back foot starts to drag after contact.
