Over or under 1.5 Majors for Tiger the rest of his career? I think he finds a way to win one more and thats it.

at 1.5, i'm taking the over

if you'd said 2.5, that's a much tougher call

Way over. You have to think about it logically. He's always going to be the favorite at Augusta. If you make a conservative estimate and say that he plays another 10 years (with a decreased workload) and wins 50% of the time that's another 5 majors. The real question then becomes does he win another couple of the other majors. I'd set the O/U at 6.5 and take the over.

I'll take the under and gladly eat crow if I'm wrong. Just don't see it.

I will take the over but I don't think he will pass Jack anymore. When he's healthy he is still the best in the world even if he is a shadow of the player that he was back in the early 2000s. Gotta figure that once or twice he can put it together. Last year he won five times, all against good fields and three events against elite fields.

The health stuff has gotta cast some doubt, but his game hasn't left him.

I think and O/U at 2.5 would be more difficult. I would guess he has 3 more in him, but would not be shocked if he won 1 or 5.
bagger05

I definitely think 0 would be much more shocking than 5.

With the back issues he's been having and withdrawing from so many tournaments (before or mid-round), I would be much more shocked if he won 5 as opposed to 0.

He hasn't won a major for 6 years. 6 of what have historically been extremely prime years for most golfers (early to mid 30's). At this point, 5 would definitely be more shocking than 0 in my book.

5 much more shocking than 0

the history of his wins come in bunches...I'm thinking the rest of the field plays "his" game now so I'll go under...1 more win for an exit swan song

Think he wins 2 more but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 3 more. Would be shocked if it's more than 3.

I'm not taking the bait on the 6.5 over mentioned earlier.

Under. Average at this point below average in majors.

This coming from someone who would take the under on O/U 3.5? The golf board is so ridiculous with its irrational hatred for Tiger.

I think if he wins one within the next 2-3 years, then he will win 4. Maybe even 5 or 6.

But if he misses that window, I dont think he will catch Jack.

Average players don't win five times in their career, much less five times in a year including The Players and two WGC events, all three of which had elite fields.

Below average players in majors don't get top tens over half the time. Yeah, he hasn't won one in his last 17 majors. I can understand people who think he won't win another one since he doesn't seem to have that edge in the majors like he used to, but calling a stretch of 17 majors with 15 made cuts and 9 top tens "below average" seems a bit ridiculous to me.

Don't get me wrong, I think the 2000 Tiger Woods might beat the 2014 Tiger Woods 10 and 8 in a match. If you compare his current ability to what he was at his peak, then yes the current Tiger sucks. But if you're comparing him to the typical PGA golfer, he is way, way above average.

This is about winning majors, not making cuts and finishing top tens. In majors the last 5 years or so, he has sucked royally in the winning majors part of his career. His major performances have sucked.

Sucked compared to Tiger Woods from 1999-2005? Absolutely.

Sucked compared to Jack Nicklaus? Indeed.

Sucked compared to Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy? Definitely.

Sucked in general? Not even close.

Sucked compared to an average PGA player? Laughable.
