I find it hilarious that before the Rose Bowl, horns were worried that young might not cut it at QB, now he is the best QB on the planet?? Need proof just go back and look at posts from mid season, find 1300 zone archives calling for him to be moved to another position! sips, are the most fickle fans in football!! After thet lose to Ohio State, they will be back to the same ol' crap they did to Simms.

Ah, the art of half truths. Yes, technically it was before the Rose Bowl, but it was a long time before the Rose Bowl that Texas fans questioned whether Vince would be a good quarterback. Let me help you out... Vince versus OU, followed by Vince versus Missouri, and a lot of us were worried. Why? He sucked in those two games. He had no confidence, and without confidence you won't succeed in college football. Then something clicks, and starting with the Tech game Vince turns it around. Suddenly his passes looked crisper, and his confidence grew. Vince impressed in every game starting with Tech, including going 18-21 against OSU, converting the miracle 4th and 18 against KU, and culminating with an inhuman performance on the biggest stage Texas has been on in more than 2 decades. I was one of the ones who doubted during the Missou game, but Vince's consistant and ever improving play has erased those doubts. Whatever happened that allowed him to let loose and play ball, it's not going to just go away all of a sudden. So don't act like it was just one game that gave all of us horn fans confidence in Vince's ability to lead us to victory. Also, even if we lose OSU, you won't see people turn on Vince like Simms, because he's already accomplished more than Simms ever did, and most people never wanted Simms to play to begin with.

He started running the ball more after those games! Not standing in the pocket and not using his receivers. Which shows his ability to escape and run with the ball. Him and "Smokey" in the backfield was all tu needed, to over power weaker teams (KU,A&M tt)! I didnt see him evolve into a QB, I did see that he learned to take a snap and just run. So, spin it till it makes you giggle with excitement silly sip, but I think he just realized he couldnt pass, so he ran? Good luck with that against good defenses and no proven runningback becides VY.

Yeah, those 18 completions in 21 attempts against OSU didn't really happen. Neither did the 35 yard strike that was the winning touchdown against KU. Before the Tech game, when he needed to throw for us to win (OU), he failed miserably. Beginning with the Tech game, when we needed him to throw in order to win (OSU, 4th quarter against KU) he did so exceptionally.

Reggie was also the first QB to be sacked 8 times in a rivalry game last year, as well..VERY elusive...

Yes wing right, Reggie's offensive line had nothing to do with that. Vince's offensive line had nothing to do with him being able to run. You are as bright as we all thought...not very

Radio had one incompletion vs. Okie Lite

Two of the three misses were picked which led to 14 points.

One of the picks was in our endzone and resulted in a touchback. They had to drive 80 yards for a touchdown. Disingenuous to claim that interception "led" to a touchdown.

Reggie only had 14 passing TD's last year--even though you Ags believe he is Matt Leinart? How many of his fetal position flops led to touchdowns?

So it didn't lead to a TD? I think it counts as 'points off turnovers'. Hell, it was a 14 point swing.

Nice diversionary tactic at random BS statements that never occurred. Show me a link please that we said he was Lienart. We said we believe he is better than Radio.

It did not lead to a touchdown anymore than throwing a touchdown pass, kicking off for a touchback, and the opposing team driving 80 yards for a TD.

Allsome initial post!

If you want to be picky...there were actually two miralcles on that day.

A BS offensive pass interference call that NEVER gets called at that point in the game, (especially at home) and the run for his life which would have been moot had they not called that crap.

randy, you're right...reggie passed for his numbers in the fetal position. he also ran for a 1000 in the fetal position. he also threw all three or four picks in the fetal position as well.

reggie sucks. we're doomed. vince is the greatest d1 qb in ncaa history.
