That was a great game! The mutless bovine look of disbelief was legendary. I was going out with a girl whose brother was a scrub DE on that team (he was a dumbass), and she had told me "we're going to the Cotton Bowl!" (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) only to get raped at home by Daddy A&M and then absolutely blown out by Iowa in something called the "Freedom Bowl" (worst loss in Freedom Bowl history: a record that will stand forever).

Good times.

I was at the '84 game. The look on the faces of the 'sips when Ward's FG was blocked and damn near returned the length of the field for a TD was hilarious.

If Ward makes the kick, it cuts it to a 16-3 Aggie lead. Unfortunately for t.u. the Ags punched it in to make it 23-0.

Then the mass exodus began......



R.R. - "How excited are you about playing football in Texas?"

I also was at that game; Mac 2 kicked a field goal 4th and 5 in the red zone with four minutes to play... he KNEW he couldn't even convert against the THIRD TEAM defense.

Ags in the two visiting sections opposite end of the horseshoe just turned and filed out after kicking t.u.'s ass 34-10 in the trailerpark. No 'pooor loonghoorns'... we felt sorry for the nutless bovines.
