Texas has the 4th toughest schedule of all time, A&M has the 18th toughest schedule of all time.
http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/rankings/all_time_team_sched_rankings.phpThe OOC schedule was weak the last few years and A&M's was strong, but that is more of a recent phenomenon.
First, when we were in the SWC A&M seemed like they would schedule every scrub directional school in Louisiana while Texas at least played OU every year non-conference.
Second, a lot of the teams A&M played the last couple years were not traditionally good teams and certainly were not expected to be good when you scheduled them (Utah was supposed to suck, Pitt normally sucks but they had Fitzgerald).
Third, some of the OOC teams Texas scheduled were worse than they were when we scheduled them (UNC was a top-5 team when Texas scheduled them, Tulane was good, Arkansas was above-average).
Fourth, Texas has been much better football program than A&M. When comparing SOS, you hurt ours and we help yours.
Finally, with A&M's OOC schedule over the next few years, I would not be crowing about Texas scheduling patsies.
