Armstrong did not attend Texas. He grew up in Plano and I did hear him say at the celebration on Congress Ave. last year that he loves Austin and got here as quickly as he could.
It is amousing that you call him a T-shirt fan. A little over a decade ago you had more T-shirt fans than Texas. You still have them but seems you all of a sudden don't want them. Longhorns like T-shirt fans of the caliber of Armstrong.
The T-shirt fans I don't like are the ones that booed at the CU Championship game in Dallas. I was there and it wasn't the entire stadium like ags like to pretend.
I was at the game in College Station in '03 and your side of the field was almost empty except for the student section. Ags brag that you never leave early, but you did in that one. I bring this up because both schools sometimes have events happen that are unbecoming. They are unfortunate and rare, but they do happen.
I've never seen evidence that Armstrong has any dislike for A & M. He just really likes Austin and UT. He may pull for you too, I expect he does.
