This letter is to all the gutless cowards in the Victoria area, especially if they are in apologist for illegal aliens, or if one prefers, "*******s." The term "*******," according to the dictionary, is "an illegal immigrant from Mexico to the U.S."

To anyone offended by such verbiage, tough luck. Their disappointment in me, well, I'll try not to cry myself to sleep over it. First off, my family's and friends' opinions matter to me a great deal, but those of a degenerate, lying, lawbreaking bunch of socialist pigs mean absolutely zero.

The word illegal means "not according to or authorized by law" (perhaps some local defense attorney would like to crawl out from under their rock and further explain the difference between legal and illegal) "unlawful, illicit." If someone enters the United States illegally, they have broken our laws, and furthermore I don't give a damn if they all die.

If it were up to me, I would station troops on the Mexico border and give orders to shoot to kill. But don't worry, not many people would be killed, because Mexico has been afraid of United States since the 1840s. Instead of dropping bombs on Iraq, Mexico should be experiencing a nuclear winter as I speak, and the sooner the better.

I have compassion for Americans only. Americans who cannot afford basic health insurance because of all the tax money wasted on our illegal alien problem. American seniors who cannot afford their prescription medicines, yet American drug companies are pressured into giving free or drastically reduced Aids medicines to Africa. If Africa is this great continent, the origin of man, is it not time for Africans to take care of Africans?

A tsunami hits California, I'm there to give as much money and support as I am able. The tsunami that hit Asia, too bad, too sad. It is time for Americans to help Americans, first last and always. And if anyone wants to help all these foreign countries, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

The second part of my letter is addressed to the editorial board. Do they not sign their opinions because they are written by multiple parties? Oh, I get it now. Say if three editors contribute to one piece, they all hold the pen at the same time. Tell this six-eyed cyclops to grow some guts and sign every paragraph.

Don't throw down on Victoria, these people are everywhere.

My real estate broker's license requires I take continuing ed every two years. In the early 90's, I sat next to an older gentleman who passionately objected to the Civil Rights / Fair Housing Act of 1968 and argued with the instructor. The course made us well aware of the ramifications of discrimination. About 5 years later I called this same gentleman about a commercial land tract he owned and had for sale, and after he gave me the information he added "I won't sell it to any *****s, *******s or ****** ******". I about fell out...and then told him I couldn't do business with him.

I am not a minority coddler. I do believe in equality and respect for all, however. At the same time, playing the race card pizzes me off as much as racism itself.

Some of the sentiments in the original post resonate with me. Mostly, though, he comes off as an unrefined asshat. And F him on his health care issues....save your dough, build some wealth and stop crying for the government to bail you out.

A nuclear attack is hardly necessary after ass beatings by The Republic of Texas and the United States. Mexico's military record is somewhere slightly above France and below Canada.

Having grown up around Victoria, I'm suprised that letter even got printed. 90% of all letters to the editors are thank you letters for support of some function in the area. While those are nice and all feel goody, do they really have a place on the Editorial page?

Most of the rest are whining about some perceived injustice involving roads, teenagers with loud car stereo's, etc... While the Advocate actually does a decent job of news reporting for a regional paper(as compared to the Eagle or CC-Caller Times), it is not exactly a hotbed of political discussion.

While I have no love for illegals, I think this guy has other problems he should be foucusing on

Agreed. Except I think the Advocate sucks major ass.

I guess I was mainly talking about the sports page. When I lived in Corpus, if it wasn't high school sports or the Cowboys, you would think no other sports existed. I had to get some other paper to get A&M news or box scores from the Astros.

At least the Advocate tries to cover college sports.

That being said, do they still get all horned up every time St. Joe's wins a game of any kind. My senior year, we beat St. Joe's 31-3. The only reason the even scored was that our return man fumbled the opening kickoff and they recovered it on the 15. After that, they never got past mid-field. The Saturday headline read "Industrial Squeaks by the Flyers, 31-3." They only had 105 yards in total offense! What a f-ing joke!

What's with the angry face? I agree, the Sports section is pretty good.

We are long overdue for a good boarder dispute. We should just go ahead and start a war to annex Mexico. We pay for all of their sh|t anyway. We may as well use all of their resource to pay for it.

Yeah, but he is pumping money into a system that is failing us with the illigal alien issue. Our border policy is a joke, and millions of American taxdollars are being overextended on services for people that aren't even citizens of this country.

I am an elementary teacher, and I work in a school that is about 85% white. Not your typical Texas elementary school by any means. I can tell you that we had about 6 students last year that were illegals with doctored birth certificates getting a free education in our little 400 student elementary school. Imagine what the numbers are like in the inner-city districts. Teachers and administrators stand powerless to act on what we know is going on. Sure, we feel for the kids, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Then there is the whole other issue of safety and terrorism. People are walking into our country on a regular basis that are not coming here for a better quality of life. If you don't think it's happening, think again.

If an illegal gets a job..presumed under a false SS#...all withheld income stays witht he gov't. They can't get refunds or ever use any SS or retirement benefits. And they pay the same sales tax everytime they spend money.

You are making an argument that they are the ones being cheated. If they are here illegally, then it is their risk. Your argument makes it sound as if they are all here to work their fingers to the bone and are good people. Do realize that illegal immigrants now make up more than a quarter of our federal prison population (from mostly drug dealing and trafficking)?

Well the ones that have jobs do, I would bet they are the same ones that send their kids to school too. How is an illegal that has a job giving 20% of their pay to gov't never to see it again hurting you any more than I, who recieves a refund every year, or a family of 6 that gets even bigger tax breaks and gets to send 4 children to school basically for "free." The only thing MOST illegals are guilty of is taking jobs MOST Americans will not do.

I would estimate that 75% of illegals (most likely being a little conservative - speaking of Mexicans only) work in a cash business. And I would also estimate that approximately 100% of the above group pay no tax on their income.
