From a lawyer how is actually practicing in a 700+ lawyer firm, I can say that you don't get 110+ as a first year. 85,000 MAX. The 110+ starting salaries are for top 5%. So unless you are some form of cum laude, I wouldn't bank on getting 110. And get prepared to work about 60-70 hours a week. I've been in this game for a while and I'm still putting in 50.

Here's another tip. You sound like somebody who doesn't do too well when you are made to look like an idiot. You had better get used to being made a fool. NOBODY, I repeat, NOBODY is immune from being made a fool in their first 2 years of practice. If you have the attitude that you seem to have on here I can guarantee that you will not last long at a big firm. (I'm not saying you do an attitude. We've never met.) The guys that run these things are a-holes for a reason. They know what is best for a firm like this and will put up with you for about two weeks. Nobody likes a showoff, know-it-all *****, especially not a baby lawyer showoff, know-it-all *****. (Again, we’ve never met.)

They may be nice to you now, but don't forget; you are being recruited. It's like that joke about the guy who gets to see both heaven and hell. Heaven is rather boring, sitting on a cloud and plucking a harp, while in hell they play golf all day long and have wild parties all night long. Once the guy commits to going to hell he is hit with reality. Everyone is burning and screaming in endless torment. He asks Satan, "why is this place so different from my last visit. I thought this was party and golf 24/7 for eternity." Satan says, "Oh, that. That was just recruiting."
