I can see why we decided to pull the plug on our j-school now.
quote:
Travis was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and is a Journalism graduate of Texas A&M Univeristy, class of 2000. (Much to the chagrin of generations of Longhorns in his family!) Travis interned with Tapestry Films in Beverly Hills, CA in the summer of 1999. He read and evaluated incoming screenplays for the company, including "Pay It Forward," "The Wedding Planner," and "Van Wilder." (None of which he gave incredibly favorable reviews to, and none of which did too well at the box office...coincidence?)
Between 1999 and 2002, Travis worked at KAMU-TV, A&M's local PBS affiliate; and eventually became a full-time employee after graduation, as a producer/director/editor. During this time he also co-created "Between the Lines," a late-night talk and variety TV show with his fellow production assistants, where they created sketch comedy, showcased local musical talent and promoted all things A&M.
After realizing his full potential at PBS, he went off to Louisville, KY to pursue his passion for professional wrestling at Ohio Valley Wrestling. Unfortunately, the folks in Louisville couldn't do enough to satisfy his appetite. After taking a hiatus to work for the TV production company with the Churchill Downs for the fall season, he made a quick decision to move back home to Texas. He then hooked up with the Texas Wrestling Academy (formerly Shawn Michael's Wrestling Academy), and quickly began training after moving back. An injury during practice kept him sidelined and it was at this crossroads that he decided to start his own production company and work behind-the-scenes as opposed to in the ring.
Ron Durica introduced Travis into the wedding industry, and after viewing his very first wedding video, Ron claimed to have never seen a better wedding video in his 20 years in the business. Due to his multi-faceted background and wide-ranging interests, Travis has the innate ability to make women cry tears of joy, brooding musician's smile with gratitude and 300-pound bodybuilders flex with excitement at the quality of his work. He can't wait to make your visions come true...
