Techsan, back down. I don't think that Puddy is saying that at all.

Puddy was just trying to inject another of his Hindenburg blimps in an otherwise weak attempt to stop the bleeding.

He and I have been over this a thousand times. I signed up for the draft (which was actually a lottery back in 68) and never got anything lower than a 220. They never took any one over around 180. Somehow in his feeble mind that constitutes draft dodging.

Hell, for as many times as puppy has claimed that I am a draft dodger I ought to at least get a free trip to Canada!

I sent the club a wire stating, Please accept my resignation. I don't care to belong to any club that will have me as a member.

Stop what bleeding? This thread isn't about me. I just find it funny that clowns like you get their jollies off trying to rub a poster's predictions back in their faces. I mean, do you ever stop to think that you're still doing this sort of sh*t when you're almost 60 years old? Says a lot about you if you don't consider that pathetic in every way possible.

Watching you grow up should be a real hoot puppy. You seem to suffer from this preordained time table of what you can and cannot do in life as somehow being based on age. Will you be folding up the tent and entering the old folks home with your CPA abacus around 32? Life doesn't stop just because you are not 29 anymore.

Here's a clue - nobody gets out alive in the end!

I don't know what the future holds for me, but I do know in 30 years if I'm posting weak smack on whatever longhorn site is around each and every day, it's probably time to take a step back and reevaluate my life.

So I'm wound tight because I hope that I'm playing a lot of golf when I reach 60 instead of sitting in a cubicle posting on the internet all day? Interesting logic there.

Frank Denius is cool cat.

Very approachable, if you get a chance to talk to this dude, do it...his is a fascinating guy.

He is the old guy going about a buck thirty with white hair standing strait up at EVERY Longhorn practice.

Only poster I've seen throw out predictions and own up for your camp is Ribby . While he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, he doesn't leave this site like a p*ssy like most of the rest of you idiots have done after the last 2 thanksgivings. Anybody can come on here and post a bunch of garbage when their team is doing well.

Does this mean we are friends? I certainly hope so

Ribby - I got no beef with you. I don't agree with 95% of the things that you post, but I'm sure you're a good dude outside of the interweb. Plus you've taken numerous beatings over the years and had your mug plastered all over the place and are still around, which is comendable. This board and my posts are a way to kill time at work, nothing more nothing less.

I've got a year and a half to turn 60 and retire puppy. Maybe I will see you on the links, buy you a beer and beat you to death with 9 iron. Just kidding puppy - I wouldn't jeapordize any of my clubs on your concrete cranium.

You guys will get back on track in football. In the meantime the Horns and techies will be here enjoying our good fortune.

If we ever meet on the golf course, we can have an IQ test...I've played several courses around Austin. Since you've chosen to vote for Obama, I'm not real worried about losing that one.

Jackie Sherrill went 2-1 in bowl games (all in the Cotton Bowl) at Texas A&M.

While Coach Sherrill was here, tu was busted multiple times by the NCAA.

Just a slight correction. Texas was put on probation once in the eighties. The infractions were not serious compared to other schools in the SWC (A&M and SMU were prime offenders). However, they were none the less violations that resulted in a two year probation for Texas. Unlike other SWC schools (A&M and SMU), Texas addressed the issues internally and submitted what changes had been put in place to see that it didn't happen again. Upon further review by the NCAA, the last year of Texas' probation was dropped due to the University's unsolicited efforts to see that these issues were corrected.
