We have 12 recruits just like him and many more that are much better. Bottom line is that most of the blue chippers left are not interested in you guys at all. No DB are interested in you. Chris Simms, for example, came out of high school as a lock collegiate All-American and first round draft pick. But he reconsidered and opted to go to Texas, choosing a different career path.

Today, he rides the pine in Tampa Bay. He'll get some mop up duty for the rest of the season. His dad was a legend. He's a dud.

And guess what? All he thinks about, according to horns, is how successful he was against A&M.

I think Saban will go pro now, but I don't think that will help UT sign Perriloux. With the money LSU has to spend for a coach, they will get a premier one. He will then convince a bunch of recruits that they will be "his" guys, and they will get a lot of playing time. With his mother wanting him to play close to home, I still think the odds are that he ends up at LSU.

Yes, because our last 4-5 years of mediocrity are what you will always be able to expect from our program, based on Fran's recent turnaround and recruiting success.

All this banter about recruits being on the fence about which school they should attend just magnifies the need for bot UT and A&M to perform well in their respective bowl games! There seem to be be a lot of recruits that will be eyeing these games and they could be influenced by the teams' performances on New Years Day!
