the utes and their fragile nature. They really need some kind of strength and conditioning program up there.
Another key player, out for the season. in the big 12

I am just glad we don't have to deal with the Pronghorn Network or other self-aggrandizing promotion efforts. I am sure your new SEC mates will welcome that tu hubris with open arms and embrace it! Everybody knows the 40 Acres directs the course of western civilization so the SEC should be easy pickings for you!
The Horns just need to get a win over GA. And stay undefeated.

But back to the unfortunate utah utes. Dark days ahead.
Can this now be that official dedicated utah thread we dreamed of. where all things utah can be clustered. Let's keep it all here.
While the Big 12 is wondering if utah is actually ready to compete at this level, Byu is doing great!

Oh, we'll weather it just fine. I am currently in the Atlanta area and my "unhealthy lifestyle" alarms are sounding. Everyone knows that EVOO is better to cook collard greens in than pork fat, but I don't think that message has reached SUC, er SEC country. But I am glad that you give a coprolith that Utah lives in your head rent free.

If you care to know, I feed extra virgin olive oil to my pigs.
And eat the pigs.
You could say I eat processed EVOO.

Says the guy hanging out on a non-rivals site begging for attention. Kinda looks like you think all Aggies, all the time.

Well, actually I attended A&M 1978-80 after the Army and had to leave to support my my family. Utah educational opportunities came along a decade later.

Thank you for your service. I come from a family who has ~200 total man years of active duty service.
So did you go to UU, Tarleton, both?

Both. Commissioned ROTC out of Tarleton, pursued Masters in History PT at A&M while working, but had to quit.
When I first got to Utah, they struggled to fill a 37,000 seat rundown stadium. 16 years later they were legitimate contenders for a National championship.

Master's at Utah specializing in the Middle East (political economy, history, along some Arabic and Persian language facility).

Interesting, good for you. Are you using your Masters?

Yep. Retired now but wrote intelligence assessments which were distributed in the US and Canada to aviation, security and law enforcement customers on all spectrum threats to commercial aviation as part of my LEO duties. Focusing of course, on the Middle East since those were the most salient threats at the time. Worked a lot during the 2002 Winter Olympics on site security for various dignitaries, notably Israeli and Chinese officials. Interesting that countries that have no Winter sports representation, like Israel still send reps but it is part of their IOC obligations, apparently.

Of course they did, they aren't playing tough competition like in the PAC.

WOW

I just heard that little ol having-a-tough-season-TCU traveled up to Chuckles the Clown Rice Stadium in UTHA and delivered a small-Texas-private-school asswhipping on the UTHA Utes. Utes Clocks Cleaned AGAIN read the headlines.

The culprit? Utah injuries! Something about Utah (Utiness) brings out the fragility in young men.
More losses to come in the country's most underrated gameday atmosphere where the Utes's offense hopes to achieve double digits in a single game, soon.

Your week is that miserable? Understandable, of course.
